FFA Banquet Awards 2023
We started out with our Wildlife team which consisted of: Emily Kline, Malachi Dilse, Chason Schumacher, Zander Evans, and Aidyn Fisher and they received a high gold as a team. Moving on to the Small Animal Team, the team members consisted of myself, Monica Morris, Colt Maychrzak, Marki Iverson, and Mardi Loder and they received a silver as a team. Our Agriculture Communications team put in many hours of work and didn’t quite reach their goals but are already working hard on this year's event. These team members include Lilli Steeke, Karady Evans, Maddox Pierce, Kinley Stadheim, and Maddy Wilson. They received 1st in their media plan and a high silver as a team. Our food science team also competed at state and they received a bronze as a team. The team members included: myself, Ryder Sanford, Bradee Clapper, Vanessa Oase, and Ella Anderson. Alexis Ward was the only team member in nursery last year and received a bronze.
Caden Anderson worked very diligently and was just shy of his goals as he got a silver in Ag Mechanics.
Lathan Holzer competed in the Ag Mechanics contest and placed bronze. Our meats judging team did the most studying of the group and came home with a bronze. The team members were made up of Dani Maychrzak, Kyan Stadheim, and Mackenzie Hendrickson. Congrats to them! Our Agriscience individuals did very well. This event included Aidyn Fisher, Kyan Stadheim, Karady Evans, Colt Maychrzak, Marki Iverson, Dani Maychrzak, Kinley Stadheim, Vanessa Oase, and Maddy Wilson. A special congratulations to Kyan and Aidyn as they achieved their goals and made it to nationals. Kyan was 3rd in her division at nationals and Aidyn was 4th! Great work to you guys.
This years honorary members is Dallas Kvanvig.
This year we had a wonderful state fair where the weather treated us very well.
In the FFA division, Lilli Steeke came home with Champion Overall FFA Round Robin Showman which involves showing every animal and she received a baby bison and a traveling trophy! We are so proud of her!
She also was awarded Champion Overall FFA Market Goat, Champion Crossbred Ewe, Champion Goat Showman and Reserve Sheep Showman! Congrats Lilli on a well deserved state fair!
Karady Evans was reserve rabbit showman in the FFA Rabbit Show. She also received Grand Champion breeding Rabbit in the FFA show! We also had Ella Anderson, Dani Maychrzak, Zander Evans, and Mardi Loder compete at the state fair!
We had 6 members attend the State Range Judging contest in Medina in September! Those members included Aidyn Fisher, Dani Maychrzak, Tatem Fisher, Zander Evans, Layla Krinke, and Tripp Mack. The team received a hard earned bronze while Layla received a silver, Aidyn was a silver, and Dani was a bronze.
This year we had a very successful District leadership. We came home with 4 District champions. Aidyn Fisher was high individual in the creed, Karady Evans and Caden Anderson were high individuals in the Demonstration, and Lilli Steeke was high individual in Employment skills. Our amazing 7th grader Layla Krinke brought home the title of Champion Greenhand Quiz Member!
The greenhand officer team contained the freshman members and they were gold at district which was just shy of making it to state. Malachi Dilse competed in prepared public speaking and received a bronze.
Emily Kline competed in Extemporaneous speaking and received a high silver. The chapter parli pro team had tough competition and received a silver. The team included, Lilli Steeke, Karady Evans, Emily Kline, Colt Maychrzak, Vanessa Oase, Ella anderson, and Dani Maychrzak. Vanessa Oase and Emily Kline both received Gold Officers of the Day! Aidyn, Karady, Caden, and Lilli all competed at the State LDE contest in Bismarck in January. Lilli was top 4 in Employment skills and received 3rd place. Karady and Caden did very well and received a silver, Aidyn also competed with very well spoken individuals and received a silver.
The discovery award is awarded to an 8th grader who participate in an ag class and in ffa activities throughout the year. This years discovery degree recipients are Zander Evans and Mardi Loder! Thank you for being involved in FFA!
The first award is given to the Greenhand Members, please come to the front when you name is called. These members are freshman this year and are involved in our chapter and are also in an ag class this year. These members are: Kinley Stadheim, Kyan Stadheim, Aidyn Fisher, Shawn Powell, Sadie Freitag, Marketa Iverson, Colt Maychrzak, Josh Jorgens and Katherina Ketterling.
The star greenhand award is given to the most outstanding Freshman member. This member has shown great dedication and effort throughout the year that they have been in FFA. They have been a very vital part of the chapter ever since 7th grade. They have been to nationals once and participated in several state events. Our star greenhand award this year goes to Aidyn Fisher!
This year we had 2 outstanding senior officers that have been heavily involved in our chapter since 7th grade. They both have been very successful with any event they put their mind too. Our outstanding seniors this year are Emily Kline and Lilli Steeke. Our other senior members that are graduating this year are Alexis Ward and Sonora Shenk.
